Looking for something fun to do this summer in Columbus? The CAPA Summer Movie Series is back at the beautiful Ohio Theatre, and it’s the perfect way to enjoy classic movies with family and friends.
From June 13 to August 24, 2025, you can catch 28 different movies, including timeless favorites and exciting first-time showings. One of the most exciting events this summer is the screening of The Sound of Music! This beloved musical is a fan favorite, and there’s nothing like hearing “Do-Re-Mi” echo through the grand halls of the Ohio Theatre.
You’ll also get to enjoy fun cartoons, spooky horror nights, and even a silent movie with live organ music. Speaking of music—don’t miss the pre-show performances on the mighty “Mighty Morton” organ, played by longtime CAPA organist Clark Wilson. It’s a magical way to start your movie night.

Ohio Theatre Tours
As part of the 2025 CAPA Summer Movie Series, you can take a behind-the-scenes look at the beautiful, historic Ohio Theatre. These free, one-hour guided tours include a dazzling light show and a live organ demonstration by Clark Wilson on the famous “Mighty Morton” theatre organ, presented by Ice Miller.

Audio-Described Screenings
For guests who are blind or have low vision, select screenings this summer will also include audio description at no extra cost. This special feature offers spoken narration of key visual elements—like facial expressions, actions, and scene changes—alongside the regular audio. It adds rich detail to the movie experience and helps make the story come alive for every guest.
