Giant Bugs Are Taking Over Columbus Library And You Can Visit for Free

If you thought the bugs in your backyard were big, just wait until you meet the eight-foot firefly now towering inside the Columbus Metropolitan Library.

From August 12 through October 30, Main Library (96 S. Grant Ave.) is hosting Giant Bugs, a free interactive exhibit featuring enormous, scientifically accurate models of insects ranging from a glowing firefly to a towering 7-foot grasshopper.

The lineup also includes a 4-foot red-tailed bumblebee, a boldly patterned Madagascan sunset moth, a giant blue-eyed darner dragonfly, and more — each complete with fascinating facts on how they survive, pollinate, and rule the skies.
